It was 2020, City Hall was shut down and parties were non existent for the most part but couples still found a way to commemorate their love. Marina and Sean are no exception. They told me they live in Greenpoint and they have two great cats they want to be part of their wedding photos. A little at home session followed by an intimate ceremony in Fort Tryon Park was the perfect adventure for Marina and Sean at the end of one of the weirdest years of our lifetimes:)

Back before small weddings were a thing Shanaya and Chris got married amongst their closest family and friends in a gorgeous private Garden Terrace at Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn. Their stylish celebration was even featured on OneFabDay and it was certainly well deserved. You can check out all the beautiful details below! But most importantly I love how effortless and laid back their wedding felt. Shanaya and Chris let me get creative with what might seem like a pretty plain backdrop of concrete walls and garage doors before they exchanged their vows inside a cozy candlelit room surrounded by their loved ones.
Thank you for having me and thank you for making intimate weddings cool;)

Read MoreFort Tryon Park Elopement, NY
If you ever visited Fort Tryon Park you know it’s full of beautiful green filled pathways with some surprising architectural elements and vast Hudson River views which definitely makes this one of the most photogenic spots for wedding photos around NYC. For Gabbi and Max though Fort Tryon Park means so much more than just a pretty location.
Max’s dad, George, is originally from Germany and came to the US in 1939, as a Holocaust survivor. George’s first home in the US was in Inwood, right across the street from Fort Tryon Park, where he spent a lot of his time and where Gabbi and Max live now. To make it even more special, Max’s dad — now a youthful 89 years old — officiated their ceremony and Gabbi’s dad translated parts of it into Portuguese. I think almost everyone said a couple of touching words to Gabbi and Max during their ceremony and I was moved by the emotions everyone shared. It was amazing seeing two different families from two different cultures make a ceremony that was meaningful to all.

The coolest duo who met while working in a cupcake shop! Also, I am just going to share Miranda’s words describing their relationship here because I definitely can’t say it better:) “Tristan and I met in Boston while working at a cupcake shop together. Tristan has been my rock the last 5 years. We met at a really interesting time in both our lives. He was finishing school; I was trying to start a business (which failed). He graduated and got his first job; I ended up going back to school. I owe a lot to Tristan for helping me find a career path that I really identify with and enjoy. He's really the best partner I could ask for: supportive, loving, and patient. We take care of each other in complementary ways and I'm really grateful we found each other. I asked him what he loved the most about me and this was his response: I love how no matter the challenge (work, school, side hustles, career shift) you totally just go for it and put in the time and effort. Even if things don’t always pan out, you still went for it. I’ve always loved that about you.“
It was a lucky day for these two with some timing hiccups and avoiding the craziest rain downpour earlier! The clouds opened up and we got the most beautiful moments of their intimate ceremony in Fort Tryon Park:)

Angela and Andy met at an '80's cover band performance. He asked her to dance to "Faithfully" and they’ve been together ever since. Andy arranged for a little dance right after their ceremony in Wagner cove so they swayed to the song that started it all before we went around NYC for some epic portraits! Angela and Andy told me that what they love most about each other is that they encourage each other's joyful sides and want to play, laugh, travel and just be with one another. Originally from NC, Andy surprised Angela with a proposal in their favorite city and they were back to elope in NYC!

It seems fitting to finally share Becca and Dave’s celebration on the blog right before New Year’s Eve because these two had their first kiss on New Year’s Eve back in 2010!
Becca and Dave’s wedding day felt like an adventure! These two decided to have an intimate ceremony at City Clerk’s office followed by an intimate dinner with family at one of my favorite places Freeman’s Restaurant in SOHO. We started our day in Brooklyn because this is where Rebecca and Dave have been living with their adorable pup Scout. Naturally, we did their first look in their backyard accompanied by Scout:) Walked through the gorgeous streets of Park Slope and stopped at Grand Army Plaza for photos. Next stop was City Hall and Becca’s father was let in right before they closed the doors for visitors! We were all anxiously waiting for him to arrive and I will never forget that moment and the couple of photos I shot of Becca breathing a sigh of relief that her dad was actually there to witness their ceremony. I knew then how important it was for Becca and Dave to have family there! After they said their I do’s we explored the neighborhood around City Clerk’s office which is actually very photogenic with its grand architecture. The celebration continued at the Freeman’s Restaurant in one of their private rooms on the second floor but we also did a couple of photos in the iconic Freeman’s Alley.
I am so grateful to capture intimate love stories like this one because a great celebration is not about how big you make it but about having the people dearest to you to celebrate with you:)

Caroline and Phil met in Spain and fell in love at first sight! Phil was teaching music at an international school and had been living there for 6 years (he is from Liverpool, in the UK originally). Caroline was holidaying with a group of friends from Dublin and it was their last night on the island. It was love at first sight!:) Considering these two love travel and adventures it was an easy decision to bring the closest friends and family to NYC and have a ceremony in Central Park. Caroline and Phil made sure the day went smooth and FUN by hiring a whole squad of pedicabs and we ended up stopping by some of the iconic Central Park locations for photos after their ceremony in Ladies Pavillon. This was officially one of my most unique rides on a wedding day:)
Wishing these two more adventures exploring the world together and I really hope to return back to Dublin for a little visit and a glass of beer!

This is the sweetest love story of Hollie from Scotland and Juanma from Barcelona, Spain who decided to skip the big celebration and make the day all about the two of them:) They both love adventuring together so elopement in New York seemed like a great idea. We met with Reverend Annie Lawrence near Gapstow Bridge in Central Park and found a quite spot with a gorgeous sunny October morning sun illuminating the scene. Juanma shared that he loves Hollie's happy, loving nature and the fact that she loves cuddles:) Hollie told me that Juanma is insightful, smart and down to earth kind of guy who made so many incredible new experiences possible for both of them. We decided take a cab down to Dumbo for some skyline photos after their ceremony because a couple like Juanma and Hollie deserved a proper adventure in the city:)

Read MoreIntimate Casa Apicii Wedding, City Hall Elopement - Erica and Dzavid
Gotta love a couple who takes me on a ride to all of their favorite spots on their wedding day! Erica and Dzavid met seven years ago and got married at Manhattan City Hall. Here is their love story:
"We met seven years ago on a Saturday night in a bar on the lower east side called Pianos. Dzavid was with a group of guys and Erica was with two of her girlfriends when the groups bumped into each other. Dzavid and his friends played a little joke on Erica and her friends by pretending to be cousins, which was quite confusing because they all look nothing alike. Erica and Dzavid ended up chatting, laughing and dancing the entire night and exchanging phone numbers. Dzavid later admitted that he and the guys were not, in fact cousins, but friends from Bronx Science High School. Dzavid called Erica that week and they went out on their first real date in the East Village which started with drinks and ended with a slice of pizza (our absolute favorite food!). It's been true love ever since. "
Fast forward to their wedding day and we, of course, had to get some pizza and Dzavid also decided to play a little game of basketball with Erica in West Village. The celebration continued at the beautiful private room in Casa Apicii.
